This website sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and uses no analytics or advertising services.

The website is hosted by Sliplane GmbH (Berlin) on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. When you visit, technically necessary data is processed (IP address, time, page requested, browser identifier) to deliver the site and protect it against misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are kept only as long as necessary for that purpose.

If you use the enquiry form, your details (name, e-mail, phone, apartment, travel dates, number of guests, message) are sent by e-mail to villa-marguerite@gmx.de via a form service run by our web developer. Sending goes through Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany); the mailbox is hosted by GMX (1&1 Mail & Media GmbH, Germany). The form service does not store your details. We use them only to answer your enquiry and prepare a booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and delete them once they are no longer needed for that or for legal retention obligations.

Many photos are delivered by Cloudinary Ltd. / Cloudinary Inc. (USA). Your IP address is transmitted to Cloudinary, including to the USA, so that images load quickly (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The transfer is based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

The “Getting here” section embeds an OpenStreetMap map (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom). When the map loads, your IP address is transmitted to it. The United Kingdom is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing you the way to the house (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise them, write to villa-marguerite@gmx.de. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the French CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
